Another straightforward walk with stunning views and beautiful woodland.

Moel Eilio in Snow Moderate

This easy ridge walk takes on a new perspective when tackled in the snow.(11km, 710m).

Elidir Fawr and Carnedd y Filiast from Deinolen. (10.5km, 960m ascent)

Glyderau Range Traverse. Strenuous

Strarting from Deiniolen, over Elidir Fawr, Y Garn, Glyderau and down over Y Foel Goch to Capel Curig. Makes an excellent hard day's walking, or a nice 2 day wild camp. (21.5km, 1600m ascent)

Pathless ascent from the grassy side of this hill. Very quiet. (11km, 950m ascent) Moderate

Pleasant walk from the wrong side of this range. Much quieter than the routes up from Ogwen, but still busy.(11km, 1100m)

Moel Siabod and Carnedd y Cribau from Pen y Gwryd.

Some remote and quiet terrain, with unexpectedly good views to Snowdon (if you're lucky!. (21km, 900m ascent 7 hours). hard

The best direction to do this as a day walk is in reverse, or up Daear Ddu. This walk was more of an add on to a wild camp than anything else. Moderate

Glyderau from Pen y Pass Moderate

A couple of the Iconic tops of Eryri. This is a quieter ascent than from Ogwen, with excellent views of Crib Goch.(10km, 800m ascent).

Llyn Parc. 6km Easy

This trip in the forest passes a couple of lakes, and mine ruins. Easy walk, but the navigation in the plantation can be a headache.

Quieter walking in this part of the South Carneddau. Largely rough and pathless to start with.(12km, 850m)

Aber Falls from Bont Newydd. 4 km Very Easy

An easy walk that leaves the carpark along a good, wide path that's suitable for pushchairs.

Aber Circuit. 7.5 km Easy Moderate

A straightforward ramble around Aber Falls and returning to Aber via a path, high above the valleyside. Easy gradient, steep descent at walk's end requires care.

Carneddau from Aber to Trefriw. Strenuous

This is almost a mini LDP as the terrain you pass through changes so much from the forest at Aber, the high Carneddau and Llyn Cowlyd. (27km, 1500m ascent)

Drum, Foel Fras and Aber Falls from AberStrenuous

Epic walk around Aber, taking in the peaks of Drum and Foel Fras. End on the gentle North Wales Path and Aber Falls. (26km, 1200m)

Remote and quiet start with a pathless ascent of Llwytmor and a wild, faint path to descend to Llyn Anafon and Aber. (15.5km, 920m ascent).

Rachub to Capelulo via Bwlch y Ddeufaen A long walk that can be extended to Conwy if needed. Takes in the peaks of Foel Fras, Drum and Tal y Fan and could be completed in one long day. (24.5km 1250m ascent) Strenuous

A Quiet ascent of the Carneddau avoiding the usual busy sections and long walk in. Cuts the ascent down, and you're immediately on the hill. (21km 950m ascent) Hard

Cwm Llafar Horseshoe. Hard

Superbly remote (in parts) circular route over Yr Elen, Carnedd Llewelyn and Carnedd Dafydd from Gerlan. (13.5km, 1250m ascent)

An easy, off path walk up to this little visited summit. (14km, 800m ascent) Moderate

Llyn yr Adar and Cnicht.

Winter wild camp, with autumnal weather. Decent circular walk. (20km, 850m ascent) Hard

Picturesque walk around this gem of a lake. Path is not suitable for pushchairs, but is nevertheless easy terrain.

Moel Hebog and sattelite peaks from Beddgelert. Hard

Circuilar walk that includes some quiet and rough terrain in view of Snowdon. (13.5km, 940m ascent)

Cnicht and Ysgafell Wen from Beddgelert. Strenuous

Walk over some quiet hills, camping wild if you want. (22km, 1050m ascent)

Amazing quick assault onYr Wyddfa after work. Recommend evening walking to anyone with the exeperience to descend in dark if needed. (12.5km 950m ascent) Hard

Nantlle Ridge - shorty.

Eastern summits as far as Tal-y-mignedd and a high level return back to Rhyd Ddu. (12km, 1000m ascent) Moderate / Hard

Wyddfa South ridge and Moel Cynghorion.

Beautifully frosty start, and an amazing inversion from the top. (16km, 1200m ascent) Hard

Arguably the best walking route up Wales' tallest mountain. (14km, 1100m Ascent)

Nantlle Ridge Circuit from Rhyd Ddu. Hard

An excellent way to get the best out of the Nantlle Ridge without having to worry about all those transport hassles associated with a linear traverse . (16km, 1200m ascent)

Yr Aran from Rhyd Ddu. Moderate

Short and sweet and full of attitude. Just right to spend on an afternoon, or even on the way to bag the big one. (9.5km,650m ascent)

Rough and ready walk up to this summit over unmarked ground. Return via Llyn yr Adar and Ysgafell Wen (15km, 750m ascent). Moderate / Hard

Watkin Path

Wet and windy walk, enjoying the summit to ourselves. No view however! (13.5km, 1200m ascent) Hard

A pleasant walk up from the car park area to this northern outlier of the Carneddau. (14.5km, 550m ascent) Moderate

Garn, Glyderau and Tryfan from Ogwen.

Get up early to get these wondrful hills to yourself. (12km, 1200m ascent, 7 hours) hard

Cwm Llugwy Circuit.

A quieter walk from Ogwen. Some steep sections, some scrambling and a pathless descent on grass. A bit of everything. (16.5km, 900m ascent). Moderate / Hard

Carneddau - Ogwen to Aber via Drum.

Similar to the walk i did last year (link), but descending via the Drum ridge. (22km, 1500m ascent) Strenuous

circuit from Dolwyddelan. Remarkably remote walk while still not too far from civilisation that covers rough and pathless terrain (15km, 600m acent)

Dolwyddelan Circuit - Moel Meirch and Ysgafell Wen. Strenuous

Another similar walk over what can be quiet hills. (30km, 1050m ascent).

Cadair Idris from Dolgellau. Strenuous

A long circuit that takes you over the main ridge, approaching from the quiet end. Finishes off with an easy, flat route back to start (24.5km, 1200m ascent)

Across the Rhinogydd. Strenuous

Don't underestimate these hills. I planned on doing 5 on an overnight trip and only succeeded in bagging one!

Moel Ysgyfarnogod from Trawsfynydd Hard

As rough as it gets in Snowdonia. A Rhinog kilometer is what you encounter here, where each one takes twice as long. (15.5km, 520m ascent)
