Most routes start at the point mentioned, but a few are located a few kilometres away. I might put the list in order at some point, but enjoy the randomness for now.

New LDP starting in Caernarfon and ending up in Porthmadg (about 160km)

Lon Gwyrfai - Gwyrfai Way. 9km Easy Moderate

Lowland stroll from Caernarfon to Waunfawr station, where you can catch a train back and wait for it in the Snowdonia Park pub

Really long way up Snowdon. Makes a satisfyingly challenging longer day. (21km, 1400m ascent)

Glyderau Range Traverse. Strenuous

Strarting from Deiniolen, over Elidir Fawr, Y Garn, Glyderau and down over Y Foel Goch to Capel Curig. Makes an excellent hard day's walking, or a nice 2 day wild camp. (21.5km, 1600m ascent)

Pleasant walk from the wrong side of this range. Much quieter than the routes up from Ogwen, but still busy.(11km, 1100m)

Pen y Pass / Pen y Gwryd

Some remote and quiet terrain, with unexpectedly good views to Snowdon (if you're lucky!. (21km, 900m ascent 7 hours). hard

The best direction to do this as a day walk is in reverse, or up Daear Ddu. This walk was more of an add on to a wild camp than anything else. Moderate

Bothy Aber to Llanbedr via Foel Fras, Foel Grach and Creigiau Eigiau. A wild walk across the Carneddau rather then a north south traverse. (23km, 1250m ascent) Strenuous

An easy walk that leaves the carpark along a good, wide path that's suitable for pushchairs.

A straightforward ramble around Aber Falls and returning to Aber via a path, high above the valleyside. Easy gradient, steep descent at walk's end requires care.

This is almost a mini LDP as the terrain you pass through changes so much from the forest at Aber, the high Carneddau and Llyn Cowlyd. (27km, 1500m ascent)

Drum Cross Roads

Drum, Foel Fras and Aber Falls from AberStrenuous

Epic walk around Aber, taking in the peaks of Drum and Foel Fras. End on the gentle North Wales Path and Aber Falls. (26km, 1200m)

Superbly remote (in parts) circular route over Yr Elen, Carnedd Llewelyn and Carnedd Dafydd from Gerlan. (13.5km, 1250m ascent)

Picturesque walk around this gem of a lake. Path is not suitable for pushchairs, but is nevertheless easy terrain.

MOel Hebog

Moel Hebog and sattelite peaks from Beddgelert. Hard

Circuilar walk that includes some quiet and rough terrain in view of Snowdon. (13.5km, 940m ascent)

Walk over some quiet hills, camping wild if you want. (22km, 1050m ascent)

Another assault on the tallest mountain after work. This time from the quiet, straightforward Ranger path. (13.5km, 1000m ascent)

Allt Fawr

Cnicht and Allt Fawr from Gelli Iago.

A pleasant and unusual ascent of Cnicht, plus a trip out to these quieter outlying hills. (14km, 850m ascent) Moderate

Cwm Llugwy Circuit.

A quieter walk from Ogwen. Some steep sections, some scrambling and a pathless descent on grass. A bit of everything. (16.5km, 900m ascent). Moderate / Hard

circuit from Dolwyddelan. Remarkably remote walk while still not too far from civilisation that covers rough and pathless terrain (15km, 600m acent)

Dolwyddelan Circuit - Moel Meirch and Ysgafell Wen. Strenuous

Another similar walk over what can be quiet hills. (30km, 1050m ascent).

Dolgellau
Cadair Idris

Cadair Idris from Dolgellau. Strenuous

A long circuit that takes you over the main ridge, approaching from the quiet end. Finishes off with an easy, flat route back to start (24.5km, 1200m ascent)

Trawsfynydd

Across the Rhinogydd. Strenuous

Don't underestimate these hills. I planned on doing 5 on an overnight trip and only succeeded in bagging one!

Moel Ysgyfarnogod from Trawsfynydd Hard

As rough as it gets in Snowdonia. A Rhinog kilometer is what you encounter here, where each one takes twice as long. (15.5km, 520m ascent)

Croesor
Moelwynion and Cnicht Moelwynion and Cnicht from Croesor. A day walk that takes these hills in the opposite direction to the ususal Cnicht-Moelwyn Mawr-Moelwyn Bach. It will need decent navigational skills. (16km, 1000m ascent) Moderate / Hard
