Ynys Llanddwyn
It's important that you don't get trapped on the island due to the tide. The map shows the island as being attached to the mainland, but it clearly isn't on the ground! It's possibly only an island at the highest tides, but be aware of this.
1. The route starts at the car park in Newborough
forest. You need to leave the carpark towards the sea, where there
is a narrow sandy path that brings you out on 2. The island is now clearly visible to your right, and a short walk along the beachwill bring you up to the island. Before you get onto the island, there is a shelter with a map showing the main paths. The easier option is straight ahead along a wide track. More challenging, but not hard, is the path to the left that follows the coastline.
4. You can visit whichever you want (or both), before returning back past the large cross.
6. Retrace your steps, or you can enter the forest (you will see cars parked there) and follow the forestry track right to return to the car park.
