Eifionydd Hills and Llyn Peninsula Routes.

This includes the Nantlle ridge, Mynydd Mawr, Moel Hebog and Yr Eifl hills, together with some beautiful coastal walking along the peninsula. On my to do list is a walk covering this peninsula. The Edge of Wales website describe a route, but dont give details of this, presumably you get these on request or if you pay for their baggage handling services. See below for my pages on the Llyn Coastal Walk, where there is a link to the excellent Gwynedd Council site on the new LDP.

The Walks

Crib Nantlle (Ridge) Traverse . The best way to enjoy the best walk in the area! Getting back is a pain, but that's just part of the fun. (15km, 1100m ascent) Hard

pic Nantlle Ridge - shorty. Eastern summits as far as Tal-y-mignedd and a high level return back to Rhyd Ddu. (12km, 1000m ascent) Moderate / Hard
MOel Hebog 10th August Moel Hebog and sattelite peaks from Beddgelert. Circuilar walk that includes some quiet and rough terrain in view of Snowdon. (13.5km, 940m ascent)
nantlle ridge from garn Nantlle Ridge Circuit from Rhyd Ddu. An excellent way to get the best out of the Nantlle Ridge without having to worry about all those transport hassles associated with a linear traverse of this excellent walk. (16km, 1200m ascent)
mynydd mawr Mynydd Mawr from Rhyd Ddu Solitary summit, good views of Snowdon. Start from Rhyd Ddu and descend to Waenfawr or Rhosgadfan. (10km, 550m ascent.)
nantlle ridge Nantlle Ridge One of the very best walks in Eryri. Start from Rhyd Ddu and traverse the entire ridge to Llanllyfni or Nebo. Or you can double the pleasure and return back over the ridge. (14km, 960m ascent)
LLyn Llyn Coastal Path. Trail, starting in Caernarfon and ending in Porthmadog, following all the best of the peninsula. This section is split into 'day' walks, and will be completed section by section.
