tryfan May 5th 2008 Garn, Glyderau and Tryfan from Ogwen. Get up early to get these wonderful hills to yourself. (12km, 1200m ascent, 7 hours) hard
cribau Apr 26th 2008 Moel Siabod and Carnedd y Cribau from Pen y Gwryd. Some remote and quiet terrain, with unexpectedly good views to Snowdon (if you're lucky!. (21km, 900m ascent 7 hours). hard
Mynydd Mawr Apr 16th 2008 Mynydd Mawr from Rhosgadfan. Straightforward half day's walk with great views for relatively little effort.. (10km, 550m ascent) Moderate

updated 7-8th July 2007. Moel Meirch and Llyn Edno from Bethania. A walk up the Nant Gwynant valley before taking on the wild and boggy hills between Siabod and Cnicht (15km, 650m ascent). Moderate/ hard (bogs!!)
Bothy updated 30th June -1st July 2007 Aber to Llanbedr via Foel Fras, Foel Grach and Creigiau Eigiau. A wild walk across the Carneddau rather then a north south traverse. (23km, 1250m ascent) Strenuous
Allt Fawr updated 23rd June 2007 Cnicht and Allt Fawr from Gelli Iago. A pleasant and unusual ascent of Cnicht, plus a trip out to these quieter outlying hills. (14km, 850m ascent) Moderate
ddeufaen pylons updated 16th - 17th June 2007 Rachub to Capelulo via Bwlch y Ddeufaen. A long walk that can be extended to Conwy if needed. Takes in the peaks of Foel Fras, Drum and Tal y Fan and could be completed in one long day. (24.5km 1250m ascent) Strenuous
Snowdon South Ridge updated 7th June 2007 Snowdon South Ridge at Dusk. Amazing quick assault onYr Wyddfa after work. Recommend evening walking to anyone with the exeperience to descend in dark if needed. (12.5km 950m ascent) Hard

Garn from Nant updated 19th May 2007 Garn from Nant Peris. Pathless ascent from the grassy side of this hill. Very quiet. (11km, 950m ascent) Moderate
Aran from Beddgelert updated 26th April 2007 Yr Aran from Beddgelert. An easy, off path walk up to this little visited summit. (14km, 800m ascent) Moderate
Llewelyn via Cwm Llugwy updated Sat 21st April 2007 Cwm Llugwy Circuit. A quieter walk from Ogwen. Some steep sections, some scrambling and a pathless descent on grass. A bit of everything. (16.5km, 900m ascent). Moderate / Hard

Siabod from PYG updated 13th-14th October, Carnedd Moel Siabod from Pen Y Gwryd. The best direction to do this as a day walk is in reverse, or up Daear Ddu. This walk was more of an add on to a wild camp than anything else. (10.5km 700m ascent) Moderate
Moelwynion and Cnicht updated 7th - 8th October Moelwynion and Cnicht from Croesor. A day walk that takes these hills in the opposite direction to the ususal Cnicht-Moelwyn Mawr-Moelwyn Bach. It will need decent navigational skills. (16km, 1000m ascent) Moderate / Hard
Tryfan from Caseg Fraith updated 16th - 17th September Glyderau Range Traverse. Strarting from Deiniolen, over Elidir Fawr, Y Garn, Glyderau and down over Y Foel Goch to Capel Curig. Makes an excellent hard day's walking, or a nice 2 day wild camp. (21.5km, 1600m ascent) Strenuous
carneddau from ogwen to aber via drum

updated 9th September Carneddau - Ogwen to Aber via Drum. Similar to the walk i did last year (link), but descending via the Drum ridge. Generally easier to navigate and on-path all the way, you might still find sections awkward in thick mist. (22km, 1500m ascent) Strenuous

Moel Penamnen updated 22nd August Y Ro Wen and Moel Penamnen circuit from Dolwyddelan. Remarkably remote walk while still not too far from civilisation that covers rough and pathless terrain (15km, 600m acent) Moderate / Hard
South Ridge (C)Mark Parry updated 15th August Snowdon South Ridge from Rhyd Ddu. Arguably the best walking route up Wales' tallest mountain. (14km, 1100m Ascent) Hard
Cadair Idris updated 12-13th August Cadair Idris from Dolgellau. A long circuit that takes you over the main ridge, approaching from the quiet end. Finishes off with an easy, flat route back to start (24.5km, 1200m ascent) Strenuous
MOel Hebog updated 10th August Moel Hebog and sattelite peaks from Beddgelert. Circuilar walk that includes some quiet and rough terrain in view of Snowdon. (13.5km, 940m ascent) Hard
pen yr helgi du updated 14-16th July Carneddau from Aber to Trefriw. This is almost a mini LDP as the terrain you pass through changes so much from the forest at Aber, the high Carneddau and Llyn Cowlyd. (27km, 1500m ascent) Strenuous
yr elen updated 8th July Cwm Llafar Horseshoe. Superbly remote (in parts) circular route over Yr Elen, Carnedd Llewelyn and Carnedd Dafydd from Gerlan. (13.5km, 1250m ascent) Hard
nantlle ridge from garn updated 1st July Nantlle Ridge Circuit from Rhyd Ddu. An excellent way to get the best out of the Nantlle Ridge without having to worry about all those transport hassles associated with a linear traverse of this excellent walk. (16km, 1200m ascent) Hard
aran updated 23rd June Yr Aran from Rhyd Ddu. Short and sweet and full of attitude. Just right to spend on an afternoon, or even on the way to bag the big one. (9.5km,650m ascent) Moderate

Drum Cross Roads updated 28th May Drum, Foel Fras and Aber Falls from Aber. (26km, 1200m). Epic walk around Aber, taking in the peaks of Drum and Foel Fras. End the day on the gentle North Wales Path and the Aber Falls. Route can be shortened to 20km. Strenuous
elidir fawr updated 13th May Elidir Fawr and Y Garn from Nant Peris (11km, 1100m) . Pleasant walk from the wrong side of this range. Much quieter than the routes up from Ogwen, but still busy. Hard
eilio in snow updated 4th March Moel Eilio in Snow (11km, 710m). This easy ridge walk takes on a new perspective when tackled in the snow. Moderate
llyn cowlyd updated 18th February Pen Llithrig and Helgi Du from Capel Curig. (12km, 850m). Quieter walking in this part of the South Carneddau. Largely rough and pathless to start with. Moderate
ysgyfarnogod updated 11th February Moel Ysgyfarnogod from Trawsfynydd (15.5km, 520m ascent). As rough as it gets in Snowdonia. A Rhinog kilometer is what you encounter here, where each one takes twice as long. Hard
foel fras updated 28th January Foel Fras and Cwm Anafon from Aber. (15.5km, 920m ascent). Remote and quiet start with a pathless ascent of Llwytmor and a wild, faint path to descend to Llyn Anafon and Aber. Hard
cantilever updated 21st January Glyderau from Pen y Pass (10km, 800m ascent). A couple of the Iconic tops of Eryri. This is a quieter ascent than from Ogwen, with excellent views of Crib Goch. Moderate
